Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski is ready to visit Kyiv on behalf of the EU, Polish TVN-24 television has reported, citing Sikorski's Twitter.
"I will leave for Kyiv soon at the request of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs [Catherine Ashton]," he said.
The date or the program of the visit are not known yet.
Earlier on Wednesday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in the Polish parliament: "Radoslaw Sikorski is in constant contact with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara. The minister is now on vacation, but we expect his return any minute."
