Right Sector responsible for Trade Unions House arson - Interior Ministry
The fire at the Trade Unions House in central Kyiv on Tuesday night might have been caused by an attempt by Right Sector movement members to hide traces of unlawful activities, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said.
"The cause of the arson could be an attempt by perpetrators to hide the presence of weapons and explosives in the building," the ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday morning.
"The responsibility for that lies with the Right Sector activists," the statement said.
By the morning of February 19 emergency workers rescued over 40 people who were inside the Trade Unions House, but have so far been unable to contain or extinguish the fire.
