Twenty-five people have been killed in clashes between rioters and police in Kyiv by 0600 on Wednesday, the Ukrainian Health Ministry's press office said.
"Twenty-five people have died: eight of them after hospitalization in city healthcare institutions (including a Vesti newspaper journalist), four at an Interior Ministry hospital, 13 dead were delivered to the Kyiv city clinical bureau of forensic medicine," a spokesperson said.
A total of 351 people who were injured during clashes in the city center sought medical assistance, according to Kyiv paramedic brigades and healthcare institutions. By 0600 this morning 241 victims had been hospitalized.
Among these are 79 law enforcement officers, five journalists, three children, and people's deputy Vasyl Pazyniak (Batkivschyna faction) who claims to have been beaten at the Officers' House.
Nine policemen died from gunshot injuries and 371 were injured, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said earlier. Three hundred forty-nine of them were hospitalized, 74 with gunshot injuries.
