Ukrainian issue to be discussed at Munich Security Conference - German Foreign Minister Steinmeier
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said that the Ukrainian issue will be discussed at the Munich Security Conference, which will take place from January 31 to February 2.
"This is a question that we will discuss as part of the Munich Security Conference with many partners from Ukraine," he said in Brussels on Monday before a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which will consider the situation in Ukraine following the escalation of the conflict.
He said that in the current situation in Ukraine it is necessary to be "grateful that [President Viktor] Yanukovych and [UDAR Party leader Vitali] Klitschko will meet in these days to find opportunities to reduce the escalation of the current tense situation."
"I see no solutions in the short term. This will most likely be clear by the time of the next presidential elections," Steinmeier said.
