EP delegation could be sent to Ukraine this weekend – Harms
A delegation from the European Parliament could be sent to Ukraine as early as this weekend to meet with Verkhovna Rada deputies to help find a way out of the political crisis.
This is according Co-President of the Greens/European Free Alliance in the European Parliament Rebecca Harms, who was speaking at a parliament session in Strasbourg on Thursday.
"The Conference of Presidents [governing body of the European Parliament] said that we could be sent as a delegation if we are invited. There is a chance to go [to Ukraine] on the weekend and meet with parliament representatives. This is a priority item," Harms said after a vote to approve a resolution on the Eastern Partnership, and regarding Ukraine.
