Parubiy urges men to guard barricades, asks women and children to move to tent camp on Maidan

Batkivschyna faction deputy Andriy Parubiy, the commandant of the tent camp on Independence Square in Kyiv, has asked men to guard the barricades and asked women and children to move to the tent camp.

"We encourage men to come up to the line of the tent camp bordering Mykhailivska Street in order to protect our Maidan," he said at a rally on Independence Square.

He also urged women and children to move to a safe place.
