EP President hopes Yanukovych will start listening to Maidan voices
European Parliament President Martin Schulz hopes that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will "end his own version of the winter games" and start listening to demands by protesters from Kyiv's Independence Square, or Maidan Nezalezhnosti.
"After the Sochi meeting [with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 6], I hope Yanukovych ends his own version of the winter games and starts listening to the legitimate voices coming from Maidan," Schulz wrote on his Twitter page when commenting on the events in Kyiv on Sunday.
