European Parliament office to open in Kyiv in coming days
The European Parliament's Permanent Representation will open in Kyiv in the coming days, European Parliament President Roberta Metzola has said.
"This week, in order to further strengthen our cooperation, we are opening a permanent representation of the European Parliament here in Kyiv, so that we can be present in Ukraine and work with you, next to you every day. This was our commitment to you, and we are fulfilling it," she said during a speech to the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday.
Metzola became the first foreign leader to speak live during a session of the Ukrainian parliament since the start of the full-scale invasion.
As reported, European Parliament President Roberta Metzola is on a visit to Kyiv.
The Verkhovna Rada has resumed online broadcasts of plenary sessions. 266 people's deputies voted for the relevant draft resolution No. 13719 on the resumption of online broadcasts of plenary sessions at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on September 4.
