Protesters continue arriving in Kyiv's Maidan

Opposition activists continue arriving in Kyiv's Maidan.

There are now some 1,000 people in the square and more people keep arriving, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.

The protesters are watching news on the screen installed on the Trade Union House. Many people are keeping warm near barrels with fires. Some people stay near the tents located on the square.

The situation is calm. The part of Khreschatyk Street on the side of the European Square is closed to traffic.
