Ukrainian Interior Minister bans force against rally participants - statement
Ukrainian Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko has ordered law enforcement authorities to refrain from using force on participants of peaceful rallies and has warned rally organizers on the responsibility for the safety of participants.
"Vitaliy Zakharchenko bans agency employees to use force regarding participants of peaceful gatherings currently being held in the Ukrainian capital and other cities of the country," the minister said in a statement obtained by Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.
