Over 1,000 depart from Lviv region for Kyiv's Euromaidan
More than 1,000 departed from Lviv region for the Euromaidan rally in Kyiv on Sunday, Lviv Regional Council's press service said on Monday.
"We sent more than 1,000 people yesterday, and others wishing to go to Kyiv are gathering today at 10 p.m. A center for assistance to Lviv residents has been set up in the capital city," the press service quoted Regional Council deputy Andriy Kornat who is supervising the departures to Kyiv as saying.
It was reported earlier that a general strike was announced in Lviv region on Monday. A protest rally on Lviv's Euromaidan is scheduled to start at noon, local time.
