Putin says he didn't discuss revision of Russian-Ukrainian gas contract with Yanukovych
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he did not discuss the revision of a gas supply contract with Ukraine with its President Viktor Yanukovych in exchange for Kyiv's decision not to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union.
"Gazprom and Naftogaz have a contract running, as far as I remember, until 2019, and we haven't discussed ways to reconsider the contract as such," Putin said in reply to a question from Interfax at a press conference in Trieste following his talks with Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta on Tuesday.
