Situation with Vlasenko shows EU Yanukovych changes Ukraine's integration course - deputy
The situation with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko shows the European Union that President Viktor Yanukovych and the Party of Regions have changed Ukraine's integration course, MP Pavlo Petrenko of the Batkivschyna faction said on air on Channel 5.
"This is a clear signal two days prior to the Cox-Kwasniewski mission report in Europe that the [Ukrainian] president and the Party of Regions have changed their course - this is how it is without a doubt. Some questions could emerge regarding the EU integration laws but the fact that Tymoshenko's lawyer and defender has been detained is quite conclusive - this is a clear signal for Europe," Petrenko said.
Vlasenko has left the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office main investigative department, having spent over six hours there, the Batkivschyna press office said.
