Kyiv metro proposes Kyiv administration raise average subway fare to UAH 3.50
Municipal enterprise Kyiv Metropoliten has proposed that Kyiv City State Administration raise the average subway fare to UAH 3.50.
The press service of the company told Interfax-Ukraine that it annually determines the economically justified tariff and sends its proposals to Kyiv administration, but the final decision is made by Kyiv's authorities.
Currently the cost of travel in the capital's metro is UAH 2.
Earlier, Ukrainian mass media reported there were plans to increase the cost of travel in the Kyiv subway to UAH 5. Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov then confirmed the reports of a forthcoming increase in subway fares, adding that the cost of a single trip would be less than UAH 5.
