Ukraine's Foreign Ministry recommends strict hygiene regime when visiting Nigeria due to cholera
Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has recommended that Ukrainians traveling to Nigeria strictly follow hygiene rules, as well as consult with the medical establishments on the possible preventive measures due to a serious outbreak of cholera in the country.
As the information policy department of the Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported, the cholera outbreak happened because a great number of residential areas located along the coast have been flooded. As a result, groundwater reservoirs were polluted.
About 90 people have died in the cholera outbreak in Nigeria, and over 600 people have been hospitalized.
