Yanukovych urges government to introduce uniform housing and utility tariffs in all regions

The government of Ukraine has to ensure that housing and utility tariffs are uniform in all regions of the country, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

"I've given the government a task related to a very socially vulnerable sphere – to ensure that all regions of the country have uniform housing and utility tariffs. This is my principal position – electricity, water, and gas tariffs have to be the same for everyone, no matter where a person lives, and the government has to regulate these relations," Yanukovych said at a meeting to mark Day of Social Work.

He also said that the government has to change the state social policy.
