Azarov congratulates Merkel on her party's victory in elections
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has congratulated German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel on the victory of her political party in the elections for the Bundestag and expressed the hope for further development of good bilateral relations between Ukraine and Germany.
"Today I signed a letter to congratulate Merkel on the victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed the hope that our countries will develop good bilateral relations," he wrote on his page on Facebook on Friday.
The Ukrainian premier noted that the German government managed to keep the economic development level and supported other EU member states in recent difficult years.
"I know how difficult it is and that's why, of course, I respect Merkel's efforts," he said.
