Zelenskyy after meeting with leaders of 4 countries: We must act together to force Russia to peace

Ukraine must act together with partner countries to force Russia to peace, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after meetings with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany.

"We must act together – everyone who has the necessary strength, the necessary influence – to guarantee a reliable peace, to force Russia to peace. But we must act now, in these months," Zelenskyy said in his video address on Friday evening.

He said that he presented the Plan for Victory to all four countries, which includes "all the details of our strategy for bringing peace closer – geopolitical, military, geopolitical."

"We explained in London what kind of range is needed now and what our vision is to strengthen the front. We had a very good conversation with Emmanuel [Macron], and France has already helped us unite our partners in many ways, and now we are counting on this kind of leadership. Italy – Georgia's [Meloni] very principled position, a clear understanding of our motives, the needs of Europe. I am grateful to Olaf [Scholz] for our conversation today – regarding military aspects, and economic, and geopolitical ones," the head of the Ukrainian state said.

According to him, the joint work will include strengthening the Ukrainian army and common positions. "Strengthen our guys at the front. Strengthen our common positions. Now, at the team level, we will work with partners in Europe to fill each planned step as much as possible, and this Plan of ours should lead to an effective second Peace Summit so that the war ends. And so that it is a fair, honest end to the war," Zelenskyy said.
