Putin plans to visit Kyiv on July 27, says source

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Kyiv on July 27 to participate in the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus, a diplomatic source told Interfax-Ukraine.

"A one-day visit of the Russian president to Ukraine is planned for July 27," the official said.

He did not specify whether the visit would involve official talks between the top leadership of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper wrote that an invitation to attend the festivities was also sent to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
