Yanukovych congratulates Obama on Independence Day
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated U.S. President Barack Obama on the Independence Day of the United States of America.
"I believe in the further deepening of the fruitful U.S.-Ukrainian strategic partnership for the benefit of the peoples of our countries. Ukraine will continue to be a reliable partner of the United States in the promotion of European and international security," reads Yanukovych's message posted on the Web site of the head state on Thursday.
Yanukovych thanked Obama for the consistent support by the U.S. of comprehensive domestic reforms in Ukraine and its European aspirations.
