Tymoshenko's case strongly affects EU-Ukraine relations, says Lithuanian ambassador
The case of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko strongly affect Ukraine's relations with the European Union, Lithuania's Ambassador to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekunas has said.
"I will not conceal the fact that the case of former Ukrainian Prime Minister, Mrs. Yulia Tymoshenko strongly affects the relations between Ukraine and the European Union, and we think that humanism in this matter would be desirable," Vaitiekunas said on Channel 5 on Monday.
Also, according to the ambassador, Germany is ready to provide the necessary medical treatment for Tymoshenko.
"I want to remind you that the German doctors said that surgery is inevitable, it is critically needed, and that Germany is willing to take Mrs. Tymoshenko for the treatment," he said.
