Russia responsible for Donbas conflict, must comply with Minsk accords - Tusk
The Minsk Agreements on Donbas must be implemented in full; Russia is responsible for the conflict in eastern Ukraine, European Council President Donald Tusk said.
The EU continues to demand full implementation of the Minsk Agreements and underscores Russia's responsibility for the war in eastern Ukraine, Tusk said in a joint statement with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker after the 20th EU-Ukraine summit in Brussels on Monday.
Over 10,000 people have been killed and over 24,000 injured since the conflict began, Tusk said.
He also urged Russia to admit responsibility for the Malaysian Airlines' MH17 flight shot down in Donbas in the summer of 2014.
The EU expects those responsible for the air crash to be brought to justice, Tusk said.
