Opposition intends to hold Rise Up, Ukraine! rally in Donetsk
Head of the Batkivschyna parliamentary faction Arseniy Yatseniuk said in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Thursday that the opposition will hold its next rally as part of the Rise Up, Ukraine! Campaign in Donetsk.
"I would like to address [Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych. All of your provocations, all of your scuffles that occurred on May 18, won't bring any results. You are still losing your power," he said.
"The opposition campaign will end on the day of inauguration of the new president," Yatseniuk said.
The Rise Up, Ukraine! Campaign started on March 14, 2013 in Vinnytsia. The opposition held rallies in a number of Ukrainian cities. It planned to finish the campaign with a march in Kyiv on May 18. However, the opposition has now decided to prolong the protest.
