One Ukrainian injured in vessel fire at Japanese port
The crew of the fire-stricken vessel Taigan included four Ukrainian citizens, a Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
"One Ukrainian sustained minor injuries and was given medical care," the spokesman said.
No Ukrainian crewmembers were killed in the accident, he said.
It was reported earlier that the Cambodian-flagged crab fishing vessel Taigan caught fire at Wakkanai Port on Hokkaido Island in northern Japan on Wednesday evening. Seventeen crewmembers managed to escape the burning vessel.
A total of 23 people were working aboard the vessel, including 19 citizens of Russia and four citizens of Ukraine.
