Opposition wants government to report to Rada on Tuesday on its readiness for floods
Leader of the Batkivschyna Faction Arseniy Yatseniuk has suggested inviting representatives of the government to the parliament's meeting on Tuesday to hear their report on Ukraine's readiness to cope with the spring floods.
"Tomorrow, we should start with the issue of flooding in Ukraine, and we are asking you (Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak) to invite the government of Ukraine, the prime minister, heads of regional state administrations, relevant emergency situations services, the deputy prime minister in charge of this issue, and the finance minister, so that they can report on whether Ukraine is ready to tackle the flooding," Yatseniuk said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of leaders of parliamentary committees and factions in Kyiv on Monday.
