Weather Center: Wet snow and strong winds expected in Odesa on day of Ukraine-Moldova match
Wet snow and strong wind is expected on the day of the 2014 World Cup qualifier between the national football teams of Ukraine and Moldova in Odesa on March 26.
"It will be snowing on this day, and the snow will be wet, with temperatures ranging from zero to slightly under zero," Director of the Ukrainian Hydro-Meteorological Center Mykola Kulbida said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, when asked by Interfax-Ukraine to comment on the weather conditions in Odesa on March 26.
He said that 10-15 mm of snow would fall on this day, which will create a snow depth of 5-8 cm.
Kulbida said the kind of strong winds that were observed in the city of Odesa and Odesa region in the last few days (28 m/s) are not expected. Wind gusts will reach 15-18 m/s on the match day, he said.
