Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Kazakh presidents likely to meet in April - Yanukovych
The presidents of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan may meet in April, says Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
"The next meeting is likely to be held with the participation of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. And this is likely to be in April this year, that is, not later than in 1.5-2 months," Yanukovych told journalists in Kaniv, the Cherkasy region, on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian leader was also asked about negotiations regarding gas supplies to Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week.
"Certainly, we are concerned about a fundamental issue, that is, the establishment of a fair market price for gas for Ukraine," he said.
In the process of negotiations on this matter, the parties "are following a step-by-step plan, working groups are acting at the ministerial level, and also consultants from well-known consultancies and international foundations are involved in this," he said.
