Ukrainian premier, IMF representatives note progress in talks
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has met with representatives of the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday, the two parties noted significant progress in the talks, the prime minister's spokesman, Vitaliy Lukianenko, has said.
"A meeting of Mykola Azarov with the IMF mission was held today. The parties thanked each other for the cooperation and noted there had been tangible progress [in the talks]," he told journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to Azarov, at the next stage the IMF mission will go to Washington D.C. to do technical work to prepare for the next round of talks.
