Korolevska says pensions are paid on time and in full
Social Policy Minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska has said that reports about the non-payment of pensions in the country are untrustworthy.
"I'm asking everyone to stop spreading such information [about the non-payment of pensions]. All pensions will be paid on time and in full, and our task is to keep modernizing pensions," Korolevska said at a meeting with the ministry's officials in Kyiv on Friday.
The minister added that all pensions have been paid timely as of January 25.
"Today all social payments are carried out on time and in full," she said.
According to Korolevska, the budget will cover all social payments in 2013 and officials will be responsible for any delays of social payments in regions.
The minister said the ministry should be informed about any problems with the payments in regions by local officials, and not the public or media.
"Today I am introducing a rule – if I learn about something from people or the media, and not from you, then you should expect personnel reshuffles," she said.
