Opposition factions offer Rada to introduce criminal responsibility for violation of voting procedure
The leaders of the parliamentary factions of Svoboda, Batkivschyna and UDAR, Oleh Tiahnybok, Arseniy Yatseniuk and Vitali Klitschko have submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to impose criminal responsibility for violation of voting rules at plenary sessions of the Rada, the Crimean parliament and local councils.
According to the Web site of the Ukrainian parliament, bill No. 2012 proposes amending the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in terms of introducing criminal responsibility for violation of the procedure of voting at plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Crimean parliament and local councils.
The text of the bill and supporting documents haven't been yet posted on the parliament's Web site.
