Verkhovna Rada won't cancel adopted scandalous laws, says Rybak
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, of the seventh convocation will not cancel scandalous laws that were adopted earlier, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak has said.
"I don't know such laws that are directed against people, against our voters, and I don't see any reason for revising the adopted laws… I think we won't do this," Rybak said in an interview with the National Radio Company of Ukraine, when asked whether the new parliament could cancel the laws that triggered protests in the Ukrainian society.
He stressed that the adopted laws have been considered by experts, were passed by the parliamentary majority and signed by the president.
Rybak added that "if there is a mistake in one of them, no one objects to making some amendments."
