German, Ukrainian doctors arrive in Kharkiv to see Tymoshenko
Anett Reisshauer, a doctor from the Berlin-based Charité Clinic, on Monday arrived at Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 (Kharkiv), where Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is undergoing treatment.
The German doctor told Interfax-Ukraine that she would stay in Kharkiv until Tuesday.
Representatives of the Ukrainian part of the international medical commission arrived at the hospital before the German doctor.
On October 11, 2011, Pechersky District Court in Kyiv sentenced Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of office over the signing of gas contracts with Russia in 2009.
The former prime minister has served her prison term in the Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv since the end of December 2011. In May 2012, she was taken to hospital in Kharkiv. She is undergoing treatment on the recommendations of Charité doctors.
