Azarov: IMF mission itself rescheduled its visit to Ukraine
A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has itself postponed its visit to Ukraine, acting Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"The mission's visit has been rescheduled to the second half of January. The IMF mission itself asked for the postponement of the visit, and we agreed with them," he wrote on his page on Facebook, while communicating with users on Friday.
Earlier, on December 6, the IMF Resident Representative Office in Ukraine published a press release stating that the IMF mission's visit to Ukraine has been rescheduled to the second half of January 2013 at the request of the Ukrainian authorities.
"At the request of the Ukrainian authorities, the IMF mission scheduled to visit Kyiv on December 7-17 to initiate discussions on a Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) will be rescheduled to the second half of January. The Ukrainian authorities have indicated this will allow participation of the new Cabinet of Ministers, following the resignation of former ministers in early December," IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier said.
