Athletes who take 4-6 places at London Olympics and their coaches to get bonuses
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution, according to which athletes who took fourth, fifth and sixth places in the XXX Summer Olympic Games in London and their coaches will receive cash awards, the press service of the Ministry for Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine has reported.
This is stipulated in a resolution on rewarding athletes and coaches after the XXX Summer Olympic Games, which was approved at a government meeting on November 28.
"It is planned to pay cash awards of UAH 50,000, UAH 35,000 and UAH 25,000 to athletes who took fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively, as well as to their coaches: in individual competition at 100% of the athlete's remuneration and in team competitions at 50% of the total amount of remuneration received by all athletes in a certain competition," the ministry's press service reported.
