Snowfall paralyzes traffic in Moscow

The snowfall that began on Wednesday made the traffic situation in Moscow critical (9 points on a 10-point scale) by 0900 on Thursday.

The traffic is the worst on the Third Transport Ring and on the majority of roads in central Moscow and major highways. The situation is exacerbated by the high number of road accidents.

The snowfall began around noon on Wednesday and still continues.
