Tymoshenko gradually resuming medical procedures, says German doctor
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is gradually resuming her medical procedures, a doctor from the German Charite Clinic, Lutz Harms, has said.
"At the moment, the medical procedures are starting, but their number will be very limited, as she is too weak to undergo the procedures in full. And it will be difficult for her body to undergo medication. We will monitor the process and increase the doses of medication and the number of procedures as soon as she gets better," Harms told journalists outside Kharkiv-based Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 on Friday.
He added that doctors from the Charite Clinic would constantly keep in touch with their Ukrainian colleagues.
He also said that the process of Tymoshenko's treatment after 17 days of hunger strike would be very slow.
