The administration of the Kachanivska Penal Colony has permitted former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is undergoing treatment at the Kharkiv-based central Clinical Hospital No. 5, to make a phone call.
According to the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, the convict talked to one person for one hour.
The penitentiary service noted that convicts have the right to make a phone call and are allowed to make it at a special room in prison via a fixed-line phone. However, such a possibility is not foreseen technically and legally hospitalized convicts.
In connection with this, Tymoshenko made the call via a mobile phone.
