UDAR ready to initiate adoption of law on Yanukovych impeachment
The party UDAR intends to raise the question of impeachment of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych after an appropriate law is adopted, Vitaliy Kovalchuk, the head of the UDAR election headquarters, said.
"We are ready and will initiate the adoption of the law on the impeachment of the president, and after that we will raise the question about beginning the procedure for impeaching Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych," he told reporters on Sunday evening.
Kovalchuk said the party UDAR is ready to propose a plan of joint actions in the parliament to its colleagues in the opposition in the nearest future.
Earlier on Sunday, Oleksandr Turchynov, the head of the central elections headquarters of the united opposition Batkivschyna, said the issue of the 2015 presidential elections is no longer vital and called for the impeachment of incumbent president Viktor Yanukovych and early presidential elections.
