Private companies will be able to participate in passenger transportation by rail in 5-6 years, says Kolesnikov
Private companies will be able to participate in passenger transportation by rail after the modernization of Ukrainian railways, i.e. in 5-6 years, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov has said.
According to him, now the passenger rail sector is unprofitable, therefore we are unlikely to succeed in attracting investors to this type of transport.
"I think private companies will be able to transport passengers by rail in 5-6 years, when our railways are upgraded," Kolesnikov said, when opening the renovated Sloviansk railway complex on Monday.
