Azarov vows to flood Sevastopol with food to counter influence of high salaries of Russian military
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that Ukraine can stabilize food prices in Sevastopol, which have risen because of an increase in salaries to Russian officers.
"Why is Sevastopol a problematic city for us? Because the Russians are increasing salaries for their officers. And this immediately produces a misbalance. If there is a large group of people in the city that can buy products at any price, then, of course, the seller immediately responds to the possibilities of the buyer," Azarov said at a meeting with veterans during his working visit to Sevastopol to Thursday.
"There's only one way out of this situation. The country can flood Sevastopol with all of the necessary products," he said.
