Kolesnikov sure Ukraine should fight for its right to host 2022 Winter Olympics
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov has said he is confident that Ukraine should fight for its right to host the Winter Olympics in 2022.
"It's advantageous for Ukraine to fight for its right to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2022," he said at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
"We will fight, but it's still necessary to get the Olympics… At least all countries that have winter climate, including that in Sochi, are fighting, because if we get the right to host the Olympics in the Carpathians, we will secure hundreds of thousands of jobs forever," Kolesnikov said.
