Svitolina leaves Olympics; Kostiuk reaches quarterfinals
Tennis player Marta Kostiuk reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympics.
She defeated the representative of Greece, Maria Sakkari, in a three-set match (4:6; 7:6; 6:4).
This gave Kostiuk the opportunity to advance to the quarterfinals, where the Ukrainian will face Croatian Donna Vekic.
Meanwhile, tennis player Elina Svitolina left the 2024 Olympics after the match for the 1/8 finals.
The athlete lost to her opponent from the Czech Republic, Barbora Krejčíková (6:7; 6:2; 4:6).
Svitolina is Ukraine's bronze medalist in singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
