Zelenskyy commemorates those killed during Revolution of Dignity
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have honored the memory of Ukrainians who died during the Revolution of Dignity on Dignity and Freedom Day.
"Today is Dignity and Freedom Day, and it is primarily for Ukrainians to honor the price of independence for Ukraine and how much strength lies at the heart of real sovereignty. Today we remember all those who at different times fought for the right for Ukraine to be a free, independent, strong state and who became a symbol of human dignity and justice for the world," Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
He noted that protecting one's own dignity, freedom and independence is an extremely difficult task, with a neighbor like the Russian Federation, but without this the Ukrainian people cannot be saved.
"And that is why it is so important that Ukrainians do not give up, defend things of principle and, thanks to their strength, change the course of history so that Ukraine lives and develops," the head of state noted.
He thanked everyone who fights for Ukraine as if it were their own.
