URCS volunteers participate in elimination of consequences of Russian UAV attack on Kyiv

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) rapid response team worked on the elimination of the consequences of the Russian UAV attack on Kyiv this night.

"The rapid response team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society worked in two districts of the capital, where help was most needed. A crew of volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society rapid response team in Poltava region joined the response," the URCS reported on Facebook on Sunday.

The volunteers, together with rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, evacuated the injured and transferred them to an ambulance for further hospitalization. They provided first aid to five people. In addition, volunteers provided first aid to the victims and comprehensively supported rescuers during emergency and rescue operations.

A Ukrainian Red Cross Society aid station was operating on site, where people could drink tea and charge their mobile devices.

As reported, three people, including a 5-year-old child, were killed in a massive attack by enemy UAVs on Kyiv on the night of Saturday to Sunday. Falling debris from downed air targets was recorded in five districts of Kyiv. The air alert lasted 5 hours 13 minutes (from 20:39 to 01:52).
