Zelenskyy meets with Italian PM to develop joint action plan to end war
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni discussed in London the development of a joint action plan to end the war in Ukraine.
"A good meeting with Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni to develop a joint action plan to end the war with a just and sustainable peace," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Sunday.
"No one is interested in the continuation and rapid return of the war, except for Putin, therefore it is important to maintain unity around Ukraine and strengthen the positions of our state in interaction with allies - European countries and the United States," Zelenskyy stressed.
"Ukraine needs peace, backed by reliable security guarantees," the president added.
Zelenskyy also thanked Italy for its continued support and partnership in bringing peace to Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that the UK Prime Minister announced the development of a joint plan to achieve peace with the participation of the President of Ukraine, which will then be presented in Washington.
