Defense forces destroy 65 enemy drones overnight

On the night of January 28, the Russian occupation forces launched 100 Shahed kamikaze drones and simulator drones to attack the territory of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force command has reported on Tuesday morning.

"As of 09:30, the downing of 65 Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of UAVs was confirmed in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions," it said on the Telegram channel.

The locations of 28 enemy drones were lost without negative consequences, two of them flew to Russia and Belarus.

As a result of attacks by Russian UAVs, buildings belonging to private enterprises, infrastructure facilities, apartment buildings, private houses, and vehicles were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties, and assistance is being provided to those affected. Emergency services are working to address the consequences of the enemy attack in Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.

The air assault was countered by aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare units, mobile fire teams of the Air Force, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
