Ukraine wants to scale up project with Iceland on prosthetics for wounded Ukrainian soldiers – Sybiha
In 2025, Ukraine seeks to scale up the project with Iceland on prosthetics for wounded soldiers, and also offers the Icelandic side to increase investments in Ukrainian weapons production, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
"We are also very grateful for the project on prosthetics for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. This year, we strive to implement this project and help restore even more of our servicemen," Sybiha said at a press conference with his Icelandic counterpart in Kyiv, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reports.
The minister pointed out that in the security sphere, Iceland helps with demining, logistics, training of Ukrainian military personnel, in particular doctors, and supports initiatives for the prompt purchase of weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers. In addition, Iceland has already made a contribution according to the Danish model.
"We also propose that the Icelandic side increase investments in Ukrainian arms production. We discussed this in detail with the Minister today," added Sybiha.
