Sybiha discusses diplomatic track, situation in Iran with Israeli FM

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has held a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa’ar, during which the latter expressed hope that "an agreement to end the war will soon be reached." The two sides also discussed the situation in Iran.

It is noted that the conversation was held at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.

“I expressed our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and condemned the Russian attacks against civilians. I conveyed our hope that an agreement will soon be reached to end the war,” Sa’ar said on X Wednesday.

The parties also focused on recent events in Iran, focusing on the authorities’ brutal crackdown on protesters.

“We also discussed Iran’s brutal massacre of its own people by the Revolutionary Guards, one of the darkest events in the history of Iran and humanity. I stressed the need for Ukraine’s Parliament to designate the IRGC as a terror organization,” the minister added.

Sa’ar and Sybiha agreed to remain in close contact.
