Zelenskyy appoints Tymur Tkachenko as Kyiv City Military Administration head
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Serhiy Popko from the post of head of Kyiv City Military Administration and appointed Tymur Tkachenko to this post.
Corresponding decrees No. 897/2024 and No. 898/2024 were published on the website of the head of state.
Popko is a colonel general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was appointed to the post of head of Kyiv City Military Administration on October 21, 2022.
Tkachenko was appointed Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine in 2023, and was dismissed from this post on September 10, 2024.
On September 27, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Tkachenko as Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. He was dismissed from this position on December 31, 2024.
