Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Argentine President Javier Milei, during which the parties discussed the development of economic cooperation, in particular, the relaunch of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the start of intergovernmental consultations.
"Javier Milei assured that Ukraine can continue to count on the full support of Argentina," the website of the head of the Ukrainian state reported on Friday.
Zelenskyy thanked Argentina for participating in the inaugural Peace Summit and joining the Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, the international Crimea Platform and the Ramstein format. He said Ukraine needs to maintain the Defense Contact Group, as well as joint steps by Argentina, the United States and all allies to weaken the Russian dictator and end the war with a fair and lasting peace.
In a Friday evening address, the head of state noted Javier's results in economic reform and described them as "a very correct example of economic growth benefits everyone."
"We will increase our cooperation with Argentina – economic, political, and security," he saud.
